Marsau
Marsau is a plateau, an unusual, rugged, clay terroir. Our vines are deeply rooted in the earth and here reveal their true expression, sensitive to the intricacies of the soils and landscape, and exposed to the nuances of climate. We cultivate the vines with their true potential guiding our every step; the resulting fruit is of great quality and diversity, as varied as the many facets of the terroir itself. Merlot takes a presiding role in plantings and in our wines is the inimitable hallmark of a sense of place, replete with freshness, depth and intensity. The intrinsic character of the landscape allied with silky tannins.

from a location specifically singled out in Cotes de Francs,
a land of great freedom.

Several years passed during which the character of the wines remained an enigma. We began to question our convictions, not helped by an immense void when two consecutive vintages were lost amid challenging weather. Then in 2019, our perceptions would change forever. The countryside stretched out like an oil painting, a rural explosion of colour. A forgotten landscape rediscovered. So we set out to make a second wine - standalone, complete and expressive.
And the same few words instilled with nostalgic optimism constantly pray at the back of our minds, like a persistent murmur only the wind can hear:
until we meet again…
